SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at sassa Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
